Description de la missionPastry Chef will be responsible for managing the day to day operations of the Pastry Department relating to Patisserie, Chocolates, Bread and Plated dessert production while maintaining the highest level of culinary excellence. Duties include, but are not limited to, production, presentation, supervising staff, scheduling, training, mentoring, evaluating, ordering and inventory. Pastry Chef will also participate in menu planning, act as a liaison between the Restaurant Chef and F&B Management to the pastry staff, participation and maintain the apprentice program and be responsible for ensuring a safe, sanitary and healthy working environment. Pastry Chef must be proficient in a fast paced fine dining establishment. Pastry Chef as part of the Culinary Leadership Team would be responsible for decision making and planning discussions relating to the Culinary Program at the Wickaninnish Inn and act as a Supervisor to all Kitchen employees.

• Have a calm and approachable demeanor; Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
• Journeyman/Red Seal Certification, an asset
• Superb time management and organizational skills
• Minimum 3 years in similar position/level; Belief and familiarity with scratch cooking
• Previous fine dining establishment or similar experience
• Be knowledgeable and capable to meet and exceed Relais Chateaux and AAA 4 Diamond standards
